Hello! My name is Michael Van Hoesen.

I am originally from Tucson, Arizona where I currently reside and operate MV Computer Help - a Tucson, Arizona based computer repair and consulting service.

I grew up in Tucson, where I attended (and graduated) from Desert View High school. After High School I joined the U.S. Army where I spent four years working as a computer Systems Technician (1994-1998). The entire time I was in the Army I was stationed at Fort Story (Virginia Beach), Virginia. While in the Army I went on went on several overseas deployments, including trips to Saudi Arabia, Korea, Haiti, and Cuba. I also went on several deployments to locations in the United States.

When I got out of the Army in 1998 I stayed in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area and took a job at Canon, Inc. (the printer and camera company). At Canon I was a printer technician. I also did a lot of work with flatbed scanners. In 1999 I left Canon after being offered a position working at Intuit, supporting QuickBooks.

I enjoy using and learning about computers and earning computer industry certifications. I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), CompTIA Network+ Certified, and CompTIA A+ Certified. I am also a QuickBooks Certified Professional Advisor.

Over the years I have taken college credit classes off and on, starting my final year of High School (part-time). I took classes while in the Army, while working at Canon, and while working at Intuit. In 2006 I completed an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Pima Community College.

In 2006 I left Intuit and started my own business – MV Computer Help. I am a Tucson-based provider of computer repair and technical support. If it involves your computer, I can help!
